ANSWER FEATHER

BEAR
The bear is the keeper of the west. He is the head of the animal counsel, appointed by the great spirit. Traditionally the keeper of the west is a grizzly bear; charged with the responsibility of keeping the sun safe until it rises again, in the east. The bear possess strength, maturity, stamina, courage and wisdom. The bear protects and keeps safe those in it’s care. The bear is also said to bring stability, longivity and shares it’s learning and wisdom with others.The bear is supposed to be a great hunter, extremely powerful and able to heal the sick and cure illness.
Take care of your bear and your bear will take care of you. Be safe and live long. |

BEAR FETISH
In ancient times Native Americans used fetishes to help control or understand the
forces of nature and the environment, which affected their everyday lives. Through the spirit force of the fetish, the owner could overcome problems encountered. While the uses were many, fetishes generally were used to bring good luck or success.
As an inanimate art form carved from stone, the fetish does not possess any specific power. Rather the power or spirit force is that which the owner determines it to be. As everything in this life, the fetish is what you decide to make it. Good luck and prosperity. |

BUFFALO
The buffalo is the keeper of the north. Traditionally, the keeper of the north is the white buffalo. The buffalo represents beginings and endings; which also means no begining and no end, but renewal - eternity. The buffalo, a member of the animal counsel, is closest to the great spirit; as such, one of it’s gifts is the gift of insight. The buffalo is wise, open, respective, kind and caring. Like most of the animal kachinas, he is thought to help bring an increase in that animal population and to have healing powers.
Your buffalo will share it’s gifts with you if you take time to listen and hear. Be wise and be safe. |

COYOTE
The coyote is the is the keeper of the south and a member of the animal counsel. Traditionally the coyote is known as a trickster, always playing tricks on people. But the coyote is cunning, wise, smart and careful. The coyote teachs us about the lesson of life, and if we are wise we learn the first time - those that don’t, must repeat life’s lessons. As keeper of the south, the coyote also represents life, growth, learnings and family; these things give support and nuturing.
